From its establishment in 1965, our college has included Hindi as one of its subject in Under Graduate programme. Earlier, Prof. R.C.Gupta was appointed as a professor of Hindi till the year 1996. During this time, Dr. Lekhaben Swami was also appointed as a part-time lecturer of Hindi in the year 1992. Later, Dr. Dhanrajbhai Chaudhary was appointed as a professor in the department after the retirement of Prof. R.C.Gupta. He is currently working as the head of the Department.
It is the aim and objective of Hindi Department to make students aware about their potentialities and enable them to face the challenges of the future. Our department always tries to encourage students to find out new and innovative ways to sustain themselves in this competitive world. In our department we regularly organizes many subject related activities like Hindi Divas, Death and Birth Centenaries of Writers of Hindi Literature etc. These kinds of activities help the students to develop their inborn potentialities and strength.
Our department tries to establish and promote value, ethics and national culture by teaching them Indian poets like Tulsidas, kabir and Ramdhari Sinh Dinkar. It is a matter of great pride for all of us to become a part of the department and teaching our national language.
